The Stage is Set!

Redmond, OR – The wait is over! The Oregon Lightning are ready to kick off their highly anticipated season opener this March 15, as they take on the Billings Outlaws at First Interstate Bank Arena. With months of preparation, a fired-up roster, and the energy of the home crowd behind them, the Lightning are primed to make a statement in their first game of the season.

Head Coach Chuck Jones has emphasized three crucial Keys to the Game that will set the tone for success:

• Control the Play Clock – Managing the tempo and dictating the pace will be key to keeping the Outlaws’ defense on their heels and ensuring the Lightning’s offense stays in rhythm.
• No Turnovers – Ball security will be a top priority. Avoiding costly mistakes will allow the team to capitalize on scoring opportunities and limit chances for Billings to swing the momentum.
• Take Advantage of Home Field – With the roar of the home crowd and the comfort of familiar turf, the Lightning are looking to make their arena a true fortress and create a hostile environment for the Outlaws.

“We’ve put in the work, and we’re ready to show what Oregon Lightning football is all about,” said Coach Jones. “If we execute our game plan, stay disciplined, and feed off the energy in this building, we’ll put ourselves in a great position to start the season with a win.”
