Oregon Lightning Announces 2025 Hype Squad Cheer Tryouts

Redmond, OR — November 13, 2025 — The Oregon Lightning are thrilled to announce open tryouts for the 2025 Hype Squad, on November 22nd, 2025 at Canyon Yoga Collective in Redmond, Oregon. Registration is now open for all who are ready to bring the hype and become part of the soul of Oregon’s premier arena football experience.

Tryouts will run from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The cost to sign up is $25.00 per participant. All levels are welcome—energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for community are what matter most.

“The Hype Squad is the soul of the Oregon Lightning,” said Head Coach Chuck Jones. “It’s way deeper than cheer—it’s hype. These leaders set the tone inside the stadium and out in the community. If you want to be part of something bigger, this is your chance.”

The Oregon Lightning Hype Squad is more than just cheerleaders—they are ambassadors for the team, leading crowd engagement, supporting community events, and representing the Lightning spirit across Central Oregon.
