Chuck Jones hired as New Head Coach for the Storm

Redmond -  The Oregon High Desert Storm has hired Coach Chuck Jones to lead the team into 2023.  Jones a veteran and former player of the Storm is excited to take on this new endeavor.  Being a part of the organization since its first season in 2021, Jones has always thought of joining the front office staff after his playing days were over. After the 2021 season, Jones had decided to hang up the cleats, but after some time off and coming so close to being in the AWFC Championship he decided to give it one more year and returned for the 2022 season.

Chuck Jones, a former offensive and defensive lineman for the Storm attended the University of Kansas after graduating high School in Long Beach, California.  Jones transferred to Portland State University after his time in Kansas and is one of the top 3 all-time sack leaders for PSU.  Jones earned his Master's in Education and has been currently coaching high school football for 9 years. Jones is a father of 5 beautiful kids.

Back in 2005, Jones was invited into camp for the Kansas City Chiefs.  After his release, he has been able to play 12 seasons of Arena Football.

With Coach Jones's knowledge of the game and his experience with the Storm's organization, he is the best fit for the team. We look forward to the new regime and there will be more announcements on his new coaching staff and tryouts in the upcoming days.  #GOStormfootball
